This bachelors project is an editorial series about passports. The four small books are called: "The History of Passports", "Design and Security of Passports", "Power and Politics of Passports" and "Cover Designs of Passports 2026".
The goal of the series is to give a good overview on the different perspectives on this topic. It explains amongst others how our current identification system evolved, how bureaucracy is used to exclude specific groups, what causes travel-right imbalances, the combination of aesthetics with security measures and that one is basically lucky or unlucky with the situation one was born in to. To direct the focus of the books more, all texts were written independently.
