University Information Days (HIT) in September

Discover the degree programmes offered by Faculty III – Media, Information and Design at the University Information Days at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts! Every year, we put together an exciting programme for you and cordially invite you to our Campus Expo Plaza in Hanover. We will be presenting our design and media degree programmes as well as our communication and information degree programmes. There will also be workshop tours, practical workshops and meet&talk sessions with students in the Design Centre (Expo Plaza 2). We are easily accessible by public transport, and there is also the option of participating in various events online.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Try out design/study design – portfolio advice

Are you interested in studying one of our design courses?
Then we offer you the opportunity to receive free study and portfolio advice. Each week, a different course is highlighted during a set period. In addition to insights into the main areas of study and career prospects, this is also an opportunity to ask questions. Advance registration is required. Information on the respective dates and workshops can be found here.

Medien_special

Choosing a degree programme during school is often not that easy. Something to do with design and media? That's why Faculty III is presenting different degree programmes for interested applicants on different days with the event series ‘Try Design I Study Design’. A ‘Media Special’ has been arranged for this purpose at the Design Centre. What makes it special is that not just one degree programme is presented, but several degree programmes on one day. In the ‘Media Special,’ you can learn about the media degree programmes Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography, Journalism, Visual Communication and Media Design (Film). Professors offer workshops on their respective degree programmes. These run in parallel, and after one slot, you can switch workshops, allowing you to learn about up to three degree programmes in one afternoon.

Study guidance for students and prospective students

We, the student advisors at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, advise prospective students and current students on all topics related to studying. We support you if you are just starting out and wondering whether studying is the right choice for you.
Together, we will explore your options and support you in gathering information, finding your bearings and choosing the right degree programme for you. Are you already studying and would like to change your degree programme or university? Or do you need guidance with your studies? We are happy to be there for you so that you can find your way.

guest students

If you do not yet have a university entrance qualification or would like to take courses worth a maximum of 15 credits for your personal and/or academic development, you can apply for guest student status.
In this case, attendance at courses is subject to a fee depending on the number of hours per week per semester and requires a formal application. The deadline for applying for guest student status is 31 March for the summer semester and 19 October for the winter semester of each year.

Taster course

Regardless of your age or educational background, you can attend individual courses free of charge and without obligation, provided you register in advance. Get to know Faculty III and talk to lecturers and students.
