The Fashion Design programme at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts conveys various methods, both analog and digital, to design fashion with high quality standards and a proximity to hands-on work. It also examines the phenomenon how a design for a garment as a finished product tells its story via its representation and presentation.
Furthermore, our courses offer a broad, professional spectrum of fashion in theory and practice: i.e. fashion from its foundations and preliminary designs to exhibitions and fashion shows to fashion portrayal, which ranges from illustration to photography, animation and video. The programme also addresses sociology, the history of design, trend analysis, research and marketing.
