Theory and practice of professional public relations

In six semesters, the Bachelor's degree course in Public Relations imparts compact knowledge about the theory and practice of professional public relations. Students become familiar with different organisational forms and areas of responsibility in public relations and deal with the communication structures in business enterprises and non-profit organisations as well as the work of PR agencies.

Practical relevance

The degree course stands for a high degree of practical orientation. Practical exercises complement lectures and seminars. Project work, excursions and lectures by external lecturers from the PR field ensure a connection to current developments in the industry.

The entrance requirement for the Bachelor's degree course in Public Relations is demonstrated by the general university entrance qualification, the subject-related university entrance qualification, the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences, the matriculation examination or a previous education recognised by the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs as being of equal value. This course can be started only in the winter semester.

The application deadline for 2021 is expected to be 31 July 2021. The application portal is expected to be activated by the end of May. You can apply online via the Student Administration of Department III of the Hochschule Hannover – University of Applied Sciences and Arts:
