Event Education Festival

SAVE THE DATE! Call for paper / Call for participation Event Education Festival: Mastering Event Education – Mastering Events 11 June 2021 – Digital Conference

Dear Event Teachers and Students,
For more than a year, event courses at colleges and universities have been dealing with the pandemic-related conversion of teaching in online-based formats. For all of us, there have been a number of challenges and difficulties to overcome, such as the question of the best technical tools, the content and didactic reorganisation of teaching, as well as maintaining the motivation of teachers and students.

We want to shed light on these and other questions at the 2nd Event Education Festival, which we plan to hold digitally this year. Under the motto "Mastering Event Education", we want to discuss together with teachers and students how they have mastered the crisis and with what outlook we are looking at the coming winter semester. Share your experiences, both good and bad, and suggest your topics and ideas!

We are already looking forward to one fixed item on the programme: Prof. Dr Kim Werner, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, will present the first results of an international research project on teaching and learning in the pandemic!

A second focus of our festival will be on Master's programmes in the events sector ("Mastering Events"). Currently, many who work in the event industry or study in bachelor's programmes related to the industry decide to deepen their qualifications in master's programmes. At the Hochschule Hannover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts, we are systematising Master's programmes in the field of event education in Germany and Europe as part of a project. Prof. Dr. Isabelle Thilo and Prof. Dr. Gernot Gehrke will report on the first results.

As part of the conference, we also want to have you present various Master's programmes from the events sector. Tell us about your programmes and the emphases you set in these courses! We hope to have aroused your interest in exchange and joint discussion.

Register under the mail adress ees(at)hs-hannover.de, if you have your own contribution to make to teaching and learning in the pandemic, to present your Master's programme or simply to participate.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Kind regards, the Event Education Festival Practice Project Team
